| Stress is a part of life, but chronic stress can reduce productive capacity, lead to devastating disease and even kill. According to the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, 25 to 40 percent of U.S. workers suffer from stress-related job burnout. More than $300 billion is spent annually in America on stress-related job compensation claims, reduced productivity, absenteeism and medical expenses. That's more than $10,000 per employee! In Dr. Terri Kennedy's popular talk, From Stress to Success, participants will gain a better understanding of stress and learn a variety of immediately-accessible management skills and tips, including:
|
-
Physical, behavioral, mental and emotional signs of chronic stress
-
Breathing techniques for controlling the "fight/flight" response
-
Foods to eat to release calming neurotransmitters in the brain
-
Visualization practices to prepare for high-pressure situations
-
Easy chair stretches to ease tension in the body
-
Cognitive techniques for focus, clarity and control
-
Organizational strategies for minimizing stress

Trained both in business and in hands-on stress management techniques, Dr. Terri Kennedy offers a practical, multidisciplinary approach to managing your energy and boosting productivity. While on the staff of the Harvard Business School, she focused on Operations Strategy with a specialty in productivity management. As a former Vice President at MTV Networks turned award-winning entrepreneur, she understands the nature of the corporate environment as well as the special stresses associated with going solo. She is the Founder of Ta Yoga, and serves on the Board of Yoga Alliance - the organization which sets the standards for yoga teaching in the U.S. After almost dying from a stress-induced ulcerated digestive system, she has also developed deep knowledge of the physiology of stress - how it affects your body and what you can do to proactively manage it. She can tailor a program that fits your needs, whether you are a small business, corporation, non-profit or professional association. As an internationally-recognized Health & Productivity Management Specialist, she has offered her skills to a wide range of organizations. Below is a sample.
