2010 Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum
On Wednesday, January 27th, 2010, Dr. Terri Kennedy was a discussion leader for "The Economics of Happiness" at the 2010 Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. The session included leaders such as Nariman Behravesh, Chief Economist of IHS Global Insight; Archbishop Reinhard Marx of Munich and Freising; Joseph E. Stigliz, Professor at Columbia University; Richard H. Thaler, Professor of Economics and Behavioral Science at the University of Chicago, among others.

FitTown USA Town Hall
On Wednesday, March 10th, 2010, Dr. Terri Kennedy moderated a panel discussion entitled, "Food Thought in Underserved Communities" as part of a Town Hall organized by Dr. Mehmet Oz's
HealthCorps and Donna Karan's Urban Zen Foundation, in conjunction with the national health challenge, FitTown USA. The discussion focused on the movement to bring more integrative health practices to often neglected communities. Panelists included Sarita Dhuper, MD, FACC, Director of Pediatric Cardiology and Pediatric Obesity Program at Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center; Anna Hammond, Executive Director of The Sylvia Center; Craig King, Filmmaker, Chef and Founder/CEO of Craig King Enterprises; and Jerusha Klemperer, Program Manager of Slow Food USA.

Harlem Business Wellness Forum 
On Thursday, March 4th, 2010, Dr. Terri Kennedy moderated the Harlem Business Wellness Forum sponsored by the American Diabetes Association and Aetna. The theme was "Diabetes: Wellness in the Workplace Connecting Mind, Body & the Bottomline." The Forum brought together the business community with health experts to discuss how health affects productivity in the workplace and strategies for businesses to improve their Health & Productivity Management offerings. HealthCorps' Annual Green Garden Gala
On Thursday, April 30th, 2009, Dr. Terri Kennedy did red carpet interviews for HealthCorps' Annual Green Garden Gala. The event raised money to expand HealthCorps' groundbreaking in-school health educational and mentoring program, which is growing across the country. Dr. Mehmet Oz, Founder and Chairman of HealthCorps, and his wife Lisa co-hosted the Gala. Dr. Kennedy interviewed Quincy Jones, who received the "Music for a Better Life" Award, as well as other notables such as LL Cool J, Russell Simmons, Ben Vereen, and Donna Karan. Power New York City: Health & Empowerment Symposium
On Saturday, May 30th, 2009, Dr. Terri Kennedy organized and hosted the first annual Power New York City: Health & Empowerment Symposium on behalf of the American Heart Association. The purpose of the event was to empower those in the minority community to take control of their own lives. It offered inspirational talks, self-management tools, health screenings, and discussions on "total health" including healthy eating, mental health, oral health, skincare, disease management and prevention. It featured experts from the New York City area, including Terrie M. Williams as the keynote speaker. View event video.

Integrative Healthcare Symposium
On February 19th, 2009, Dr. Terri Kennedy moderated a panel entitled "From Local to Global: Nursing Leadership for Change" for the Integrative Healthcare Symposium in New York. Panelists include: Barbara Dossey, PhD, RN; Barbara Sattler, PhD, RN; Dorothy Larkin, PhD, RN; Mary Jo Kreitzer, PhD, RN. The event is a gathering of influential and inspiring practitioners and healthcare professionals in integrative medicine and offers informational programs, updates on evidence-based research, and peer-to peer networking.

Yoga Journal Conferences 
In 2008 and 2009, Dr. Terri Kennedy moderated Continuing Education panels for four different Yoga Journal Conferences in San Francisco, Colorado, and Florida. Panel topics ranged from "The Business of Being a Yoga Teacher" to "Handle With Care: Ahimsa in Asana." Panelists have included yoga pioneers such as Gary Kraftsow, Tias Little, Aadil Palkhivala,
 John Friend, Judith Hanson Lasater, Rod Stryker, Cyndi Lee, Ana Forrest, Jason Crandell, Pretzel France, and Rogelio Nunez.

National Association of Minorities in Cable
On Tuesday, April 29, 2003, Terri Kennedy acted as the Moderator for a NAMIC (National Association of Minorities in Cable) event held at HBO in Manhattan. The panel was titled "Succeeding on Your Own Terms: How to Create Your Own Niche In or Out of Corporate America." She provided an overview of the Power Living principles and challenged the group of media professionals to reshape their definition of success, and use themselves as the asset in creating wealth, freedom and joy.

On September 22, 2010, Dr. Terri Kennedy participated in the Women: Inspiration and Enterprise Symposium hosted by The White Ribbon Alliance alongside Sarah Brown, Arianna Huffington and Donna Karan. The event comprised inspirational talks and panels with high profile speakers and guests drawn from the worlds of politics, philantrophy, media, fashion and the arts. Dr. Kennedy spoke on the Health, Wellness & Spirituality panel. Moderated by Kathy Freston, the panel also featured Marianne Williamson, Kris Carr, Dr. Susan Smalley, Dr. Hyla Cass and Amanda De Cadenet.

Yoga - The Science Behind the Benefits
On January 27th, 2009, Dr. Terri Kennedy participated in a panel entitled, "Yoga - The Science Behind the Benefits" at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. Sponsored by Yoga Alliance, this breakfast also featured Rachel Permuth-Levine, Ph.D, MSPH, Deputy Director of Strategic and Innovative Programs at the National Institutes of Health, as well as Sat Bir S. Khalsa, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. They discussed yoga and its benefits to overall wellness, role in preventative health care, use as a Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) therapy and clinical effectiveness.

5th Annual NAACP Leadership 500 Summit
From May 21st through May 24th, 2009, Dr. Terri Kennedy participated in the 5th Annual NAACP Leadership 500 Summit Ensuring our Legacy at the Phoenician Hotel and Spa in Scottsdale, Arizona. She spoke on a panel about "Maintaining Strong Family Values During Times of Crisis" moderated by the dynamic Hazel Dukes. She also taught morning yoga classes.

Massachusetts Conference for Women
On Thursday, December 11th, 2008, Dr. Terri Kennedy participated in the Massachusetts Conference for Women, hosted in conjunction with the Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Women. It is a non-profit, non-partisan, one-day event where Massachusetts women can connect, learn practical and professional strategies from nationally recognized experts, and network with peers. Held at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center, it attracted over 5,000 participants. Dr. Kennedy was on a panel entitled "The New Healthy You: Finally Making the Change." She joined panelists Dr. Celeste Robb Nicholson, founding Editor-in-Chief of Harvard Women's Health Watch and Demie Stathoplos, Health & Healing Director at Canyon Ranch. She also spoke at the State Street breakfast for over 700 of the attendees. Other notable speakers at the conference included Marianne Williamson and Holly Robinson Peete.

Expert Empowerment Panel
On Thursday, October 11th, 2007, Dr. Terri Kennedy participated in an Expert Empowerment Panel for a major advertising agency in New York. She joined other dynamic business owners and gave advice on how to empower women. She also led an interactive relaxation and stress management session for a group of the firm's executives.

Health Challenges & Solutions in the Black Community
On February 26th, 2009, Dr. Terri Kennedy spoke on a forum entitled "Health Challenges & Solutions in the Black Community." The event was sponsored by The Network Journal and took place at Macy's corporate offices in New York. She offered advice and practical tips to eating healthy, managing stress and incorporating movement/exercise into daily activities. She also reviewed some of the data on health disparities within the African American community.

The State of Women's Health in 2008
On Saturday, March 22nd, 2008, Dr. Terri Kennedy spoke at "The State of Women's Health in 2008" event as part of the Healthy Eating And Living (HEAL) initiative sponsored by the Greater Harlem Chamber of Commerce. The event was held at the Museum of the City of New York in honor of Women's History Month. She reviewed the risk factors for some of the major diseases affecting women and offered advice on creating healthy living habits.

On Friday, April 7, 2006, Terri Kennedy participated in the 3rd Annual Women's Leadership Conference sponsored by the Westchester Chapter of 100 Hispanic Women. The event took place at the Pace University School of Law in White Plains, NY. She spoke on a panel entitled, "Achieving Balance: Self-Development & Realization," along with restauranteur and lifestyle author, B. Glamour's Top 10 College Women in America
On Wednesday, June 6, 2007, Dr. Terri Kennedy shared career and life advice with Glamour's Top 10 College Women in America in New York. She participated in the 50th Anniversary of the contest, celebrating alongside other past winners such as Martha Stewart and Sheryl Lee Ralph. Dr. Kennedy was a winner in 1988.

Congressional Black Caucus Collective Power Tour
On Saturday, March 25, 2006, Dr. Terri Kennedy was a featured guest for the Congressional Black Caucus Collective Power Tour - "Building Unity, Health and Wealth" hosted by the CBCF in conjunction with Congressman Gregory Meeks (D-NY). Dr. Kennedy joined other experts for the "CBCF Wellness Show" to discuss the state of health in the African American community. The event was held at York College in Queens, NY.

2006 Inner City 100 Summit
On Tuesday and Wednesday, April 18 and 19, 2006, Terri Kennedy attended the 2006 Inner City 100 Summit in Boston. She spoke on a panel for the ICIC Growing Up CEO Program which celebrates outstanding young CEOs who run successful inner city businesses. Founded in 1994 by Harvard Business School professor Michael E. Porter, ICIC promotes economic prosperity in America's inner cities through private sector engagement that leads to jobs, income and wealth creation for local residents.
