After almost dying from Crohn's Disease and then healing using an integrative approach, Dr. Terri Kennedy supports a move from the current Disease Management Model of healthcare to an Integrative Wellness Model that brings together well-care and sick-care to better meet the needs of the patient and community. A coordinated approach can reduce overall healthcare costs, improve health outcomes and quality of life, and increase the productivity/success of our citizens. As a Holistic Health Counselor, she has educated medical students at venues such as the Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine and the SNMA Medical Education Conference; has worked with hospitals for asthma and stress management workshops; and has also worked with corporations to understand the effects of stress on productivity.
