Seminario 2010 de Salud, Mujer y calidad de Vida - Keynote
Dr. Terri Kennedy was the keynote speaker for Seminario 2010 de Salud, Mujer y calidad de Vida in Santiago, Chile - energizing and inspiring over 800 women. Her topic was "Power Living: Think, Eat & Live on Purpose." For the first time ever, she delivered The Power Living Pledge in Spanish (La Promesa De Power Living). It was extremely well-received and now there is demand for her books in Spanish. The event was presented by El Mercurio (the largest newspaper in Chile), the magazine Ya, Clinica Las Condes and Estee Lauder Companies.

Power New York City: Health & Empowerment Symposium - Event Host/Producer
Dr. Terri Kennedy hosted the day-long Power New York City Health & Empowerment Symposium at Columbia University on behalf of the American Heart Association. The event offered inspirational talks, self-management tools, health screenings, and discussions on "total health" including healthy eating, mental health, oral health, skincare, disease management and prevention. Dr. Kennedy is a National Spokesperson, Ambassador and Power Advocate for the American Heart Association / American Stroke Association.

HealthCorps' Annual Green Garden Gala - Red Carpet Host
Dr. Terri Kennedy did red carpet interviews for HealthCorps' Annual Green Garden Gala. The event raised over $1 million to expand HealthCorps' groundbreaking in-school health educational and mentoring program, which is growing across the country. Dr. Mehmet Oz, Founder and Chairman of HealthCorps, and his wife Lisa co-hosted the Gala. Dr. Kennedy interviewed Quincy Jones, who received the "Music for a Better Life" Award, as well as other notables such as LL Cool J, Russell Simmons, Ben Vereen, and Donna Karan. The event was held at the Winter Garden at the World Financial Center in New York.

WIE (Women: Inspiration & Enterprise) Symposium - Panelist
Dr. Terri Kennedy spoke on the "Health, Wellness & Spirituality" panel for the First Annual WIE Symposium. Moderated by Kathy Freston, the panel also featured Marianne Williamson, Kris Carr, Dr. Susan Smalley, Dr. Hyla Cass and Amanda De Cadenet. The event hosts — Sarah Brown, wife of the former British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, designer Donna Karan, and Huffington Post cofounder Arianna Huffington — brought together an incredible group of the who's who of powerful women to discuss such diverse issues as the role of women in technology and the need for global empowerment. Proceeds from the event benefit the White Ribbon Alliance for Safe Motherhood, as well as partner non-profits such as Donna Karan's Urban Zen Foundation. Read more about the event.

American Diabetes Association Business Wellness Forum - Moderator
Dr. Terri Kennedy moderated the Business Wellness Forum sponsored by the American Diabetes Association and Aetna. The theme was "Diabetes: Wellness in the Workplace Connecting Mind, Body & the Bottomline." The Forum brought together the business community with health experts to discuss how health affects productivity in the workplace and strategies for businesses to improve their Health & Productivity Management offerings. It specifically addressed the importance of diabetes awareness and its economic cost within the business community. Panelists included Dr. Jerome Tolbert, attending physician in the Department of Medicine and Endocrinology at Beth Israel Medical Center and medical director of the outreach program at the Friedman Diabetes Institute; Dr. Olajide Williams, Associate Director of Neurology at Columbia University and Director of Operations of the Harlem Hospital Stroke Center; Larry Harper, Financial Advisor at Oppenheimer & Co. and caregiver to his 86-year-old diabetic mother; and Maudine Nelson, Registered Dietician, Certified Diabetes Educator and Nutritionist at Columbia University's Institute of Human Nutrition.  This video clip offers a compilation of comments from Dr. Kennedy as moderator for the 90-minute panel and Q&A.
