  • On Friday, June 24th, Teresa Kay-Aba Kennedy, Ph.D., MBA will participate in the 6th Annual Women as the Face of AIDS Summit sponsored by the Iris House. She will lead a workshop entitled,"What about me? Mind, Body & Soul," offering a "toolkit" of empowerment techniques such as meditation, visualization, nutrition and stress management. Iris House provides comprehensive services and advocacy for women, families, and communities infected with and affected by HIV/AIDS, while simultaneously providing prevention and education services for their clients and at-risk communities.

  • From June 3rd - 5th, Teresa Kay-Aba Kennedy, Ph.D., MBA will facilitate the Spirit of the Feathers Retreat at the Mount St. Alphonsus retreat house in Poughkeepspie, New York. The non-profit organization mentors young girls and women of color who are healing in some aspect of spirit, mind and body. The women will receive "an immersion" into the Power Living philosophy, as well as a "toolkit" of empowerment techniques such as meditation, visualization, nutrition and stress management.

  • On  Saturday, May 14th, Teresa Kay-Aba Kennedy, Ph.D., MBA will lead a workshop for The Newark Peace Education Summit: The Power of Nonviolence. The Summit is intended to give substance to how we - as individuals, families, communities, and cities - can use the practice and tools of non-violence as a solid foundation for achieving progress, and a comfortable harmony with our environment. Hosted by Newark Mayor Cory Booker, the Summit will feature Nobel Peace Laureates: His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama Tenzin Gyatso, human rights activist Shirin Ebadi, and social justice advocate Jody Williams.   • On Friday, May 6th, Teresa Kay-Aba Kennedy, Ph.D., MBA will participate in the American Heart Association's 5th Annual "You Are The Power Concert" featuring Chrisette Michele at the famous Apollo Theater in Harlem. The event will also include performances by Brian Courtney Wilson, Trin-i-tee 5:7 and the Most Powerful Voices Contest Competition winners. Find out how to attend.

  • On April 11th and 12th, Teresa Kay-Aba Kennedy, Ph.D., MBA will participate in the You're The Cure on the Hill 2011 - the American Heart Association's Lobby Day events in Washington, DC. She will receive briefings and then meet with Congressional leaders regarding key issues related to heart disease and stroke.

  • On Saturday, March 26th, Teresa Kay-Aba Kennedy, Ph.D., MBA participated on the expert "Heart to Heart" panel for the American Heart Association's Harlem Go Red for Women Educational Forum & Luncheon. The master of ceremonies was Star Jones and the keynote speaker was NBA superstar and TV personality, Cuttino Mobley. Dr. Kennedy was on the host committee.

  • On Tuesday, March 22nd, Teresa Kay-Aba Kennedy, Ph.D., MBA facilitated "An Evening of Power Living" for the professional women's group, Breaking the Glass Ceiling. She led the ladies in a group coaching session, including an "immersion" into the Power Living philosophy and energy management techniques.

  • On Thursday, March 10th, Teresa Kay-Aba Kennedy, Ph.D., MBA led a stress management workshop at Iris House in celebration of National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day. Iris House provides comprehensive services and advocacy for women, families, and communities infected with and affected by HIV/AIDS, while simultaneously providing prevention and education services for at-risk communities.

  • On Sunday, February 13th, Teresa Kay-Aba Kennedy, Ph.D., MBA led an interactive and inspriational "Raise Your Spirit" segment for the Go Red Sunday Program at The Abyssinian Baptist Church in New York sponsored by their Health Ministry. "Go Red" is a program of the American Heart Association which raises women's awareness about heart disease, and encourages women to take action to reduce their personal risk.

  • On Saturday, February 12th, Teresa Kay-Aba Kennedy, Ph.D., MBA led a workshop entitled "Search Your Heart - Claim Your Power" for the Greater Allen A.M.E. Cathedral of New York. In this session, she shared information on how to think, eat and live in a heart-healthy way. The event was sponsored by the American Heart Association and Allen's Women’s Health Ministry which is led by the Co-Pastor, Rev. Dr. Elaine McCollins-Flake.

  • Teresa Kay-Aba Kennedy, Ph.D., MBA has contributed to The Youth Effect: Toolkit for Decisionmakers on Engaging with Youth. The e-book has been created to inspire leaders of organizations across sectors to believe in the capability of youth and to develop the skills of to be able to engage and collaborate more effectively with youth. It is part of an effort to ensure that children and youth are an integral part of designing, shaping and creating a more sustainable future.
